Splatoon Squid Amigurumi

This Splatoon squid looks just like the squids from the Splatoon game and it's so fun to make! Kristen K. from MilesOfCrochet offers this pattern at Etsy, available here.

I made this Splatoon amigurumi back in January 2021 and it was one of the very few times I worked with felt (glued on his eyes and tentacles). Even though I enjoyed the final result, I decided I preferred to use crochet pieces and sew them together whenever possible.

The hardest part for me was sewing together the small tentacles, but other than that this was a smooth process. I don't remember how much time I spent on this project, but I would guess that it took around 20h since it was one my first projects and I was still learning many crochet basic techniques. I made it with cotton yarn and a 3.5mm hook - final size was around 30cm tall.

This squid was also a gift I gave to one of my best friends and huge fan of the game :) I love preparing crochet pieces as gifts!
